On a constant journey, I want to break with the norms that don’t fit me (in Film & in Life) and forge my own path.
I was born in Palermo in 1991 to a Swiss mom and an Italian dad, and pretty early on, I fell in love with traveling and capturing those fleeting moments through photography. After a few years of backpacking around the world, working as a cook, and diving deeper into filmmaking, I decided to take it up a notch and enrolled in a three-year Reportage course at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
While I was there, I had the chance to grow my skills and work on a few projects I’m proud of, like “Amo mi cuerpo”, which was my graduation project, as well as two audio documentaries, “In viaggio tra le nuove economie” and “Non sprecare”. Both ended up being aired on Italian national radio on the program “Tre Soldi”.
After graduation, right in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, I put together “Day by Day”, a crowdsourced series of shorts about how people were handling the lockdowns. I moved to Switzerland in 2020, where I now work as a freelance videographer, editor, and set manager while developing my own documentary projects.
